One of the most impressive newcomers to the Iowa State program this summer has been Milwaukee (Wisc.) backcourt player Jamarion Batemon, who has not only demonstrated his already-proven ability to knock down shots but also in defending at the level needed to become a rotational player for head coach TJ Otzelberger.
During his first session with the local media on Thursday morning, the true freshman spoke on the challenges he faced immediately upon reporting to Ames for summer workouts and how he’s persevered through those to impress the coaches consistently during practice sessions.
