Drake DeBaun
Kansas high school prospect Drake DeBaun flipped his commitment from Wake Forest to Iowa State on Friday.

The Cyclones are on the board and have landed a prospect at a position of great value in the offense, as Overland Park (Kan.) Shawnee Mission South rising senior Drake DeBaun switched his commitment from Wake Forest.

He becomes Iowa State‘s 19th-known commitment in the 2026 class and second in three days for the program in continuing to fill its next recruiting class.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound DeBaun, who is a three-star prospect according to both On3 and Rivals, had decided on the Demon Deacons recently and went on an official visit there last month, but opened things up when ISU came calling. He is the first of what could be a two-man tight end recruiting class if the program is able to close local prospect Evan Jacobson.
