Iowa State Cyclones' forward Alisa Williams (3), forward Addy Brown (24), and center Audi Crooks (55) cheer from the bench during the match against UCF in the fourth quarter in the Big-12 women’s basketball at Hilton Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, in Ames, Iowa.

Iowa State juniors Audi Crooks and Addy Brown were named to the John R. Wooden Award Top 50 Watch List, the organization announced this week. The pair is averaging a combined 38.0 points and 16.4 rebounds through the Cyclones’ first five games.

Crooks is coming off a historic week in which she broke the program’s single-game scoring record with 43 points on 18-of-23 shooting in just 20 minutes against Valparaiso. She followed that performance with a perfect 8-for-8 outing against Norfolk State. Crooks shot better than 83% from the field for the week (26-of-31) and averaged 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks. Her five blocks Sunday were the most by a Cyclone since Denae Fritz had five against Baylor in the 2023 Big 12 Tournament.

Brown also hit several milestones. She became the 36th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points with an 18-point effort against Valparaiso on Wednesday. The Derby, Kansas, native then delivered Iowa State’s fourth triple-double on Sunday, finishing with 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. It was the program’s first triple-double in more than a decade and the Big 12’s first since Kansas State’s Serena Sundell recorded one on Dec. 5, 2024.

No. 12 Iowa State travels for the first time this season Thursday, facing Drake at 6 p.m. in Des Moines. The game will stream on ESPN+.
