Iowa State Cyclones' punt kicker Kyle Konrardy (97) celebrates with team after a game winning field goal against Iowa during the fourth quarter in the Cy-Hawk football at Jack Trice Stadium on Sept. 6, 2025, in Ames, Iowa

Iowa State kicker Kyle Konrardy has earned multiple national honors after his game-winning kick lifted the Cyclones past rival Iowa.

Konrardy was named the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week and a Lou Groza Award “Star of the Week” following No. 14 Iowa State’s 16-13 win Saturday. The Dubuque Senior alum drilled a 54-yard field goal with 1:52 left, the same distance as his winner against the Hawkeyes last season.

The junior has already been recognized as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for the second straight week. His 63-yard make against South Dakota remains the longest in the nation this season, and he is the only FBS kicker with two field goals of 50 yards or longer. Konrardy went 3-for-3 against Iowa and also handled kickoff duties, sending two of five attempts for touchbacks.

Iowa State (2-0) visits Arkansas State on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
