Both QBs for Wake Forest-FSU appear on availability report

Wake Forest quarterback Robby Ashford and Florida State quarterback Tommy Castellanos are both on the first availability report of the week.
Ahead of Saturday night’s game, both quarterbacks are listed as “probable” to play. They’re the notable listings for a couple of teams that are banged up entering the final month of the season.
Ashford missed Wake’s win at Oregon State and played in the first half of last weekend’s 13-12 win against SMU. He has been dealing with a thumb injury on his right hand.
Tight end has become Wake’s most-interesting position — at least from an injury standpoint.
Starter Eni Falayi is questionable to play against the Seminoles. He left Saturday’s game with an injury. Harry Lodge will miss his fourth straight game. But the Deacons will benefit from the Wake Forest debut of Will Loerzel, a transfer from South Alabama. Loerzel is listed as probable for this game.
A third Deacon appears in the probable category — center Devin Kylany. He has started every game in the middle of the offensive line.
Otherwise, it’s basically status quo on the injury front for the Deacons. Cornerback Ashaad Williams is still out — coach Jake Dickert said he hasn’t quite been ruled out for the season. Offensive lineman Clinton Richard remains out and hasn’t played since the season opener.
On the FSU side of things
Castellanos is one of five players listed as probable and clearly the most important one. FSU’s starting QB for every game, he was knocked out of the Seminoles’ game late against Stanford on Oct. 18.
The Seminoles have two running backs (Kam Davis and Roydell Williams) and two wide receivers (Elijah Moore and Teriq Mallory) listed as questionable. But none of them has been a consistent contributor this season.
Among the eight players who are out for the Seminoles, linebacker Stefon Thompson is the most-significant loss. He’s played about 100 snaps.
