Wake Forest announces full non-conference schedule

Wake Forest will play four neutral-court games in its non-conference schedule for men’s basketball this season.
The program announced its full non-conference slate Thursday morning.
Wake Forest plays Michigan in Detroit on Nov. 11 as the second and final leg of a two-year neutral-court series. The Deacons beat the Wolverines 72-70 in Greensboro last season.
Wake Forest is in the Baha Mar Championship, with a scheduled game against Texas Tech and a game either Purdue or Memphis. Those games will be Nov. 20 and 21 in The Bahamas.
And announced earlier this week, Wake Forest will play West Virginia in Charleston, W.V., on Dec. 6. That comes in the same week as Wake’s home game against Oklahoma in the ACC-SEC Challenge.
Wake’s other game against a power-conference opponent will be a home game against Vanderbilt on Dec. 21. The WVU and Vanderbilt games are both the first games of a two-year agreement between Wake Forest and those programs.
Wake Forest has 13 non-conference games after playing 11 for each of the last four seasons. That shift is because of the ACC’s downsizing of the league schedule, from 20 to 18 games.
