The Eagles hope to get some more good recruiting news later this week.

That’s because Amier Clarke – a 2026 defensive tackle out of Kissimmee, Florida (Osceola High School) announced on social media Monday night that he’ll be making his decision on the 10th. Clarke’s final four schools are BC, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Rutgers.

If Clarke does pick BC, he would be the 27th commit for the 2026 class and the 17th to join the program from outside of New England.

Clarke has a massive offer list totaling 19 schools including Marshall, Pitt and Wake Forest.

At 6’3″ and 290 lbs., Clarke would be another big addition to the room (literally) on top of other commits Jackson Carlisle, Gavin Neil and Mac Fitzgerald. With this first ‘real’ class for the staff coming together nicely, there’s clearly been an emphasis on getting bigger up front on both sides of the ball. Clarke would be the latest in a growing list of players who believes in the vision that Bill O’Brien has for the trenches and if you’re looking to get to that next level, it’s hard to argue with the pedigree this staff has.

Beating out two Northeast schools for Clarke’s services would be another huge boost to this staff’s recruiting profile as well. One commit won’t make or break a cycle obviously, but winning those close-to-home battles goes a long way when sitting in other living rooms in the future.

Clarke could also become the second player from Florida to commit to BC in this class, along with wide receiver Kelvin Brown (Jacksonville) who announced his commitment to the Eagles back on June 15th.

If you take a look at his Hudl tape, his quickness stands out immediately in the very first clip of the nearly five-minute video. Quarterbacks barely have time to breathe once the ball is snapped as he gets off the line very quickly. Perhaps the most impressive part of the film is the third or fourth clip when he’s also able to track down a running back 10 yards up the field.

In a state like Florida that breeds incredible athletes regularly on the gridiron, Clarke is a kid who also significantly stands out with his size. In Tim Lewis’ system that encourages flexibility and an aggressive play style, Clarke appears to be a phenomenal addition to the program if he does indeed end up picking the Eagles later on this week.
