BYU wing Kennard Davis was taken into custody Thursday morning after a car crash in Provo, per a police statement. He was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.

“At approximately 11:45 am on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, Provo Police Officers responded to a crash at the intersection of 900 W Center St.,” the statement said.

“During the accident investigation, officers found cause to place the driver — Kennard Davis, age 20 — under arrest for suspected DUI. Davis was transported to the Provo Police Station for further investigation and was subsequently cited with DUI charges. He was released for medical treatment for minor injuries, and his vehicle was impounded.”

Davis, the 6-6 transfer wing from Southern Illinois, has averaged 9.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists for BYU this season in two games. He missed Tuesday’s contest vs. Delaware State due to Achilles soreness.

BYU arrived in Boston Thursday evening for its game against No. 3 UConn on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET in the TD Garden.
