Will North Carolina Guard Seth Trimble Return to Lineup Against Ohio State?
All signs are pointing to North Carolina guard Seth Trimble being back in the lineup on Saturday against Ohio State, source told The Field of 68.
Trimble hasn’t played since the Kansas game on Nov. 7. He broke a bone in his left forearm during a team workout, and it required surgery.
It’s not 100% that Trimble will play, but things are trending that way. In the two games Trimble played this season before the injury, he was averaging 14.5 points, 5.0 rebound and 3.5 assists. North Carolina has gone 8-1 without him with its only loss coming to Michigan State.
Having Trimble back would be huge for the Tar Heels. He gives North Carolina another secondary ball handler, and he may be the team’s best defender.
The CBS Sports Classic between Ohio State and North Carolina will tipoff at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 20, from State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
