by: A.M. Allan11/19/25

Currently, 2026 RB Tayshaun Franklin already has legitimate D1 size for a running back, as he tips the scales at 210 pounds and measures in at 6-foot-1.

In addition to quality size, he has quality offers that range from Army, Arkansas State, UT Martin, Navy and several others.

“Hey there my recruitment is picking up pretty good, I have 11 offers right now,” stated the prospect who is out of Ware County High School Waycross (GA).

According to “Tay” as he is called, he was offered by the Army Black Knights on October 27th, and the offer came Coach Allen Smith.

“Yes we had been talking since May 13th this spring,” Franklin explained on the ongoing communication with Coach Smth.   “He had offered my cousin (2026 Army DL Commit) Alvin Green months prior. So he called me, added my cousin to the call and offered me.”

“My initial reaction was wow this is really getting serious”.

Franklin has yet to visit the academy, but readily admitted that Weill be changing sooner than later.

“I plan on visiting this winter,” shared the running back who is coming off a solid 2025 season.

His team’s record is 9-2, where he received 1st Team All-Region honors and 2025 4-AAAA POTY finalist.  His stats are 128 carries, 1100 yards and 18 touchdowns.

In addition to the gridiron, he also plays basketball and runs track (200, 4×2, High and Long Jump).

So, where does Franklin stand with Army?

“They are very high on my board and I look for a brotherhood and coaches that do right by their players,” said the student-athlete who currently holds a 3.5 GPA. “Thank you for reaching out to me … I really appreciate it and Go Army.”
