Countdown To Army-Navy (2025) - GBK Podcast: David Urban (Class of ’86) joins Host, Joe Iacono
Well, IT IS ARMY–NAVY Week, and Saturday is the game everyone has been waiting for — especially West Point graduates, current cadets, and the parents and families of both academies.
GoBlackKnights.com Podcast Host Joe Iacono had the opportunity to catch up with one of the academies’ most notable graduates, David Urban.
Mr. Urban began his career, after graduating from West Point in 1986, as an artillery officer in the United States Army’s storied 101st Airborne Division. During his time at West Point, Mr. Urban served as the Vice Chairman for Honor, and two-time STAP. Illustrative of his distinguished record of consistently high performance during his time in uniform, Mr. Urban was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement while engaged in combat operations against Iraq during Operation Desert Storm.
Mr. Urban earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Juris Doctor degree from the Temple University School of Law, and a Master of Government Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Urban has also completed the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme through Oxford University and the Stratfor Certification in Geopolitical Analysis through Florida Atlantic University.
