Countdown To Army-Navy (2025) Podcast Video Interview: Dr. Frank Luntz joins GBK’s Joe Iacono

We getting closer to the kickoff the December 13th Army-Navy game.

The Black Knights (6–5, 4–4) secured bowl eligibility in its last outing at UTSA (Nov. 29) with a 27–24 victory. The Army offense is lead by QB Cale Hellums, who has 15 rushing touchdowns rank tied for ninth in the nation.

Navy (9–2, 7–1) finished third in the American Conference behind the play of quarterback Blake Horvath. Horvath has rushed for 1,040 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 81 of his 131 pass attempts for 1,390 yards.

The Midshipmen appear at No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and No. 25 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.

Our next Podcast guest is Dr. Frank Luntz.

Frank Luntz is an American political and communications consultant and pollster. His work has included developing talking points and other messaging along with messaging for Newt Gingrich’s Contract with America, and public relations support for The Israel. He advocated use of vocabulary crafted to produce a desired effect, including use of the term death tax instead of estate tax, and climate change instead of global warming.

Luntz has historically frequently contributed to Fox News and CBS News (and since 2021 on CNN as a commentator and analyst, as well as running focus groups during and after presidential debates on Fox News and CBS News.  Luntz describes his specialty as “testing language and finding words that will help his clients sell their product or turn public opinion on an issue or a candidate.”[9] He is also an author of business books dealing with communication strategies and public opinion.

Luntz now teaches a class on Messaging at West Point and runs a foundation called “Sea to Shining Sea” where cadets travel the globe to study battlefields such as Normandy; meet with leaders; and talk with Army leaders across the world to improve their real-world Army leadership skills.

Luntz is passionate about the cadets and the US Military Academy and everything it stands for.  He has frequently said that the Cadets at West Point are the best the nation has to offer.
