2026 quarterback decommits from Arkansas

2026 Gaffney (S.C.) quarterback Jayvon Gilmore has decommitted from Arkansas, Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett reports.
The three-star made headlines on Wednesday when it was reported that he was no longer a part of the Gaffney football program and that he is also no longer enrolled in the school.
While splitting snaps with newcomer Banks Bouton, the 6-foot-6, 195-pound signal caller completed 14 of 28 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown in three games this season. As a junior, Gilmore completed 180 of 297 passes for 2,510 yards and 26 touchdowns.
After initially committing to Arkansas in August of 2024, Gilmore is the second Razorback pledge to recently decommit. He followed Prosper (Texas) offensive lineman Bryce Gilmore, who has since committed to Texas Tech.
Jayvon Gilmore is rated as the 29th quarterback in the 2026 class per Rivals Industry Rankings and ninth overall player in South Carolina. Along with the Razorbacks, he owns offers from Arizona, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Tulane, among others.
With Gilmore’s decommitment, Arkansas’ 2026 class sits at 25 commitments per the Rivals Industry Rankings.
