4-star legacy WR leaves Arkansas out of Top 3, family says Hogs moved on

Four-star wide receiver prospect and Arkansas legacy Chase Campbell released his top three schools on Tuesday, and the Razorbacks were not on it.
Campbell’s top three include Baylor, Texas Tech and Kansas State. He took an official visit to Arkansas the last weekend in May, but the Hogs didn’t make the cut. Campbell’s father confirmed with HawgBeat that Arkansas’ staff called and told them the class was full.
That revelation was first reported by Best of Arkansas Sports on Tuesday late afternoon.
Background on Chase Campbell
A consensus four-star recruit and the No. 110 player in the nation according to On3, Campbell’s father Marcus played defensive back for the Razorbacks in the ’90s. His mother, DeeDee, ran track for the Hogs as well.
Campbell was born in Fayetteville but now resides in Wolfforth, Texas, just a 15-minute drive away from Texas Tech. The Red Raiders were Campbell’s first offer.
As a junior, Campbell helped Frenship to a 10-2 record that ended with a 49-42 loss to Southlake Carroll in the playoffs. He caught 81 passes for 1,497 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Campbell was also a threat on the ground and racked up 314 yards and six touchdowns on 38 carries.
Arkansas wide receivers in class of 2026
Right now, the Razorbacks have three wide receivers committed in the class of 2026. Two hail from the same school, as Dequane Prevo and Blair Irvin III play at Bentonville. Prevo was previously at Liberty-Eylau in Texas, but transferred close to his new home recently.
The third wide receiver in the class is Robert Haynes IV, who plays at Ridge Point High in Missouri City, Texas, with fellow Arkansas commit, offensive lineman Hugh Smith.
If that city sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the hometown of former Arkansas quarterback and wide receiver Malik Hornsby.
