Arkansas basketball drops in latest AP Top 25

The Arkansas basketball team saw its ranking slip in the first in-season edition of the AP Top 25 on Monday.
The Hogs debuted at No. 14 in the AP Poll, but dropped seven spots to No. 21 after they split the week’s games.
Arkansas took home a resounding 109-77 win over Southern to open the season before it went to East Lansing, Michigan, and recorded its first mark in the loss column with a 69-66 loss to now-No. 17 Michigan State.
The Hogs are the fifth-highest ranked team in the SEC, behind Alabama (8), Kentucky (9), Florida (10) and Tennessee (20). They will play all of those teams this coming season.
KenPom didn’t think too much of the Saturday loss, as the Hogs only dropped one spot from 26 to 27. Their offensive efficiency has dropped 11 spots from 23 to 34 since the start of the season, but defensive efficiency jumped seven to 21.
