Arkansas basketball makes jump in latest AP Top 25
The Arkansas basketball team jumped several spots in the AP College Basketball Top 25 on Monday.
The Hogs were previously at No. 25 last Monday, and they rattled off two wins last week against now-No. 11 Louisville in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday and over Fresno State in North Little Rock on Saturday. Now, the Hogs sit at No. 17.
There’s only one opportunity on the hardwood for the Razorbacks this weekend, but it’s another marquee matchup, this time against No. 16 Texas Tech. It’ll be a rematch of last year’s Sweet 16 game, when the Hogs blew a 16-point lead and lost to the Red Raiders in overtime.
The Hogs are the seventh-highest ranked team in the SEC, behind Alabama (12) and Vanderbilt (15). The Hogs will play both of those teams this season, as well as Florida, Tennessee and Auburn, which are ranked behind them.
Here’s how the full AP Top 25 breaks down.
