Bobby Petrino gives injury updates for Arkansas defensive line

Arkansas Razorbacks fifth-year senior defensive lineman Cam Ball will practice this week and ‘should’ be available to play against Mississippi State on Saturday, interim head coach Bobby Petrino said on Monday.
“Cam will practice Tuesday – no contact – and then should be ready for Saturday,” Petrino said. “We have to still wait and see but he should be ready to go.”
Ball missed the Auburn game in which the Razorbacks (2-6, 0-4) fell 33-24, suffering their fifth consecutive loss and are one defeat away from not being bowl eligible for the second time in three seasons.
Ball has played in 46 games for Arkansas, including 27 starts in his career. In 2025 he has started seven of the eight games the Hogs have played and logged 16 total tackles, including seven solo and 1.5 for loss.
Oke does not expect to be back this season
Abilene Christian transfer David Oke missed the first two games of the season due to a lingering knee injury dating back to fall camp in August and has been in and out of the Arkansas defensive lineup since.
Petrino said that he does not expect Oke to play again for the Hogs this season.
“I do not think he will be back with us,” Petrino said and also confirmed again when asked if he would return in 2025.
Oke has not played since the Notre Dame loss on Sept. 27 and he also appeared in defeats to Ole Miss and Memphis.
The native of Nigeria recorded four total tackles including one solo and .5 for loss for the Razorbacks this season.
