Darius Acuff Jr. named SEC Freshman of the Week
After two dominant performances against Louisville and Fresno State, Arkansas freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. was named SEC Freshman of the week on Monday.
Acuff averaged 17.5 points, nine assists and five rebounds against the two teams and recorded his first collegiate double-double against Louisville with 17 points and 10 assists. He scored 11 points in the second half against Louisville to stave off a Cardinals comeback in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
A Detroit native, Acuff is the Razorbacks’ leading scorer with 17.4 points per game and is tied for second in the SEC in assists at 5.4 per game.

Against Fresno State, Acuff dropped 18 points and recorded eight assists with just one turnover.
Acuff and the Razorbacks are off in the midweek and will head to Dallas to take on No. 16 Texas Tech on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. and the game will air on ESPN2.
