Darius Acuff Jr., Trevon Brazile earn SEC weekly honors
Arkansas point guard Darius Acuff Jr. and forward Trevon Brazile were named SEC Freshman of the Week and SEC Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second week in a row that Acuff has won the Freshman of the Week title. He was also named Dick Vitale’s Diaper Dandy Freshman of the Week.
Brazile’s SEC Player of the Week nod is the second in his college career. The other time he earned the honor was the week Arkansas took down Duke in the 2023-24 season.

The redshirt senior recorded his third double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds against Texas Tech last Saturday. He drilled four shots from deep and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line as well.
In that same game, Acuff dropped 20 points and dished out eight assists. The 17.7 points he averages for sixth among freshmen in the NCAA And his 5.7 assists per game is second.
Brazile, Acuff and the rest of the Razorbacks will be back in action on Tuesday night with a home contest against Queens (N.C.). Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT and the game will air on the SEC Network.
