Four-star wing Abdou Toure signs with Arkansas

Both of Arkansas’ 2026 commits have now been signed, sealed and delivered as four-star wing Abdou Toure joined his counterpart JJ Andrews and signed with the Razorbacks on Wednesday.
Toure, a native of West Haven, Connecticut, had his signing announced by the Arkansas basketball program’s X account on Wednesday.
Arkansas beat out Providence, UConn and others for Toure, who announced his commitment on Oct. 3 during a ceremony at Notre Dame High School in Connecticut.
The 6-foot-5 senior averaged 25.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game while earning Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year honors. He told Rivals the reason he chose Arkansas was because he could see himself winning a national championship under John Calipari.
“I picked Arkansas because I love what coach Cal is about and to be part of a team with a real shot at winning a national championship. I trust the coaches because they’re straight up with me and have a solid plan for how to help me get better and help me become the best player I can become.”
Toure breaks down his game
In a previous interview with Rivals, Toure talked about what he does on the court and what players he thinks he plays like.
“I’d say my game has developed into more stronger, being able to put the ball on the floor more, and really consistent shooting,” Toure tells On3. “I can really do everything and try to win. That’s all I do, try to win the game. I’d say I really watch a lot of Shai (Gilgeous-Alexander) and Ant Edwards. I watch Ant Edwards with his mentality and his physicality, the way he gets to the rim, the way he finishes above the rim. And Shai, with his pace.”
According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Toure is the No. 31 overall player in his class, No. 14 small forward and No. 1 player in the state of Connecticut.
