How to Watch, BetSaracen odds: No. 21 Arkansas vs. Winthrop
The No. 21 Arkansas Razorbacks (3-1, 0-0 SEC) are looking to start off the week strong and will host the Winthrop Eagles (2-2, 1-0 Big South) at Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday evening.
The Hogs have won two games in a row with wins over UCA and Samford last week and have another couple games against mid-major opponents before the heavy part of their non-conference slate starts.
But Tuesday’s game will provide a tough test for the Razorbacks, who had trouble putting away Samford last Friday night. The Eagles are ranked 53 spots ahead of Samford in the KenPom rankings (129 for Winthrop and 182 for Samford).
This will be the second time Winthrop and Arkansas have met in the two schools’ history, and the first time since the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands during the 2004-05 season. Arkansas won that game 72-49.
In that game, Olu Famutimi scored 17 points with eight rebounds, Eric Ferguson had 16 points off the bench and Ronnie Brewer added 11 points.
