JUCO infielder decommits from Arkansas baseball

The Arkansas baseball team lost the commitment of a junior college infielder Wednesday night, as shortstop Sherman Johnson reopened his recruitment.
Johnson, who played last season at McLennan Community College in Texas, made the announcement on his social media page.
“I’ve decided to open back up my recruitment,” Johnson said in a post on X. “I want to thank the University of Arkansas for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level. Recruitment is fully open. I’m excited for the next chapter.”
Last season, Johnson appeared in 59 total games and slashed .319/.425/.569 with nine home runs and 51 RBI. He stole 21 bases and drew 35 walks.
