Arkansas pummels Alabama A&M in season opener

The Arkansas Razorbacks opened their season with a 52-7 win over the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
Arkansas’ offense cooked for all four quarters, as it racked up 552 total yards — 358 through the air and 226 on the ground.
Quarterback Taylen Green was about as good as he could possibly be, as he threw for 322 yards and six touchdowns with a 77% completion percentage.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Hogs started a little shaky. After Green led the offense to a first-drive score, the Alabama A&M offense marched 75 yards right down the field and capped it off with a rushing touchdown from Maurice Edwards.
The defense bowed up, though, and that was the only score the Bulldogs were able to get. Overall, the Arkansas defense only allowed just 235 yards and Alabama A&M was only able to get in the redzone once.
Up next, the Razorbacks will travel to Little Rock to host in-state foe Arkansas State for the first time in program history. Check out highlights from Saturday’s win below.
