After a bout of severe weather rolled through northwest Arkansas and caused kickoff to be delayed two hours, the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-5, 0-3 SEC) lost their fifth-straight game to the Texas A&M Aggies (7-0, 4-0 SEC), 45-42.

As has been the case for most of the season, Arkansas’ defense was porous throughout the game and the Aggies had little resistance, as they put up 497 yards of offense (280 passing and 217 rushing) and quarterback Marcel Reed completed 72% of his passes.

The offense did pretty much everything it could, however. The Razorbacks put up 527 yards and were especially effective on the ground with 268 total rushing yards.

Mike Washington led the way in rushing with 147 yards on 16 carries, and quarterback Taylen Green added 86 with two touchdowns as well.

The final score was a one-score loss, but the Razorbacks only led after their first drive when Scott Starzyk hit a chip-shot field goal. Texas A&M scored on the ensuing drive, took control, and never gave the lead back.

As always, HawgBeat compiled some reactions from those on social media after the Hogs’ fifth loss of the season…
