The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football program placed six players on the First and Second All-Conference Teams, as announced Tuesday by The American Conference.

First-Team Selections

Brody Foley (TE)
Ray Coney (LB)
Elijah Green (CB)

This marks the most First-Team honorees for Tulsa since 2020.

Foley becomes the first Tulsa tight end to be named First Team All-Conference since Tulsa joined The American in 2014. Over the season, he led the Golden Hurricane in receiving with 528 yards on 37 catches, and scored nine touchdowns (seven receiving, two rushing). That touchdown total ranked fourth among players in the conference this season.

In a standout game against East Carolina Pirates, Foley had a career-high 126 yards on six receptions, and earlier in the year he posted a season-best seven receptions against Oregon State Beavers.

Coney led The American in tackles, finishing with 129 total (40 solo, 89 assisted), including 7.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He also recorded four quarterback hurries and two pass breakups. In eight of Tulsa’s 12 games he logged double-digit tackles, including a 14-tackle game vs. Navy Midshipmen.

Green paced Tulsa in interceptions with five — the most on the team and the most among conference corners — and that mark ranked third nationally. Green also had 59 tackles (fifth on the team) and recorded two interceptions each against Navy and Memphis Tigers.

Second-Team Selections

Dominic Richardson (RB)
J’Dan Burnett (DL)
Lento Smith Jr. (S)

Richardson tallied 1,195 all-purpose yards this season, becoming the 23rd player in Tulsa history and the first since 2021 to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season. His 1,065 rushing yards ranked third in The American. In Tulsa’s comeback win at Army Black Knights on November 22, Richardson rushed for a career-high 203 yards. He also contributed 20 receptions for 130 yards and scored five total touchdowns on the season.

Burnett ranked second in the conference with 6.5 sacks, posted 9.5 tackles for loss, and made 28 total tackles. He registered at least one sack in each of Tulsa’s first seven games, along with a forced fumble, a quarterback hurry, and a pass breakup over the season.

Smith Jr., as a safety, finished second on the team with 79 tackles. He recorded a key interception that helped fuel Tulsa’s comeback at Army, added four pass breakups, two tackles for loss, and had a season-best 10 tackles versus Oklahoma State. He started all 12 games in the defensive backfield.
