Following the Future: Trio of GT commits punches ticket to state finals
The high school football season has reached the later portion of the state playoffs with several members of Georgia Tech’s 2026 class and 2027 commits still battling along with their teammates for a state championship.
Here is a look at how each of the commits performed in their most recent games in this edition of Following the Future, which will keep up with them through the end of the season:
2026 Commits
CJ Gamble, LB, Carrollton (Ga.)
Gamble accounted for six total tackles (three solo) and one quarterback hurry to help Carrollton to 48-21 home win over North Gwinnett in the Class AAAAAA State Semifinals. Carrollton (14-0) will battle Buford in a much-anticipated matchup in the Class AAAAAA State Championship Game on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Jeffar Jean-Noel, WR, American Heritage (Fla.)
American Heritage went on the road and earned a 31-14 victory at Choctawatchee in the Florida Class 4A State Semifinals. Jean-Noel had one catch for 11 yards in the win. American Heritage (8-5) will now get ready to take on Jones in the Florida Class 4A State Championship Game on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium in Miami.
Kymani Morales, LB, American Heritage (Fla.)
American Heritage went on the road and earned a 31-14 victory at Choctawatchee in the Florida Class 4A State Semifinals. Morales had two rushing attempts for nine yards on offense. No defensive stats were available. Darnell Collins, WR/S, Rome (Ga.)
Collins and Rome had the week off due to the quarterfinal game between Gainesville and Langston Hughes being postponed a week. No. 1 seed Rome (11-2) will now host Gainesville in the Class AAAAA State Semifinals on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Barron Stadium after the No. 2 seed Gainesville went on the road on Friday and defeated Langston Hughes 40-32.
JJ Winston, WR, Rome (Ga.)

Krew Moledor, IOL, Gainesville (Ga.)
The new Georgia Tech signee Moledor and Gainesville went on the road and defeated Langston Hughes 40-32 in the Class AAAAA State Third Round to keep its season alive. Moledor started at center for the Red Elephants and helped the offense rack up 267 yards (141 passing, 126 rushing) in the win. No. 2 seed Gainesville (11-2) will now travel to Rome on Thursday to battle in the state semifinals at 7:30 p.m. with a state championship berth on the line.
Nathan Agyemang, TE, Kell (Ga.)
Agyemang saw his season and high school career come to an end with Kell losing 35-6 at Creekside in the Class AAAA State Semifinals. Agyemang didn’t record any individual stats in the game. Kell finishes the season with a record of 11-2.
Jack Richerson, TE, Marist (Ga.)
Richerson suffered an injury in his team’s win over North Springs on Oct. 3 that unfortunately cost him the rest of his senior season. Marist (12-2) lost 28-20 on the road at Benedictine to end its season in the Class AAAA State Semifinals on Friday.
Chris Hewitt Jr., S, Calvert Hall College High (MD.)
The new Georgia Tech safety signee Hewitt’s season ended back on Nov. 27 with Calvert Hall defeating Loyola Blakefield 28-24 in the 105th annual Turkey Bowl at Towson University. For the season, Hewitt finished with 31 total tackles, three interceptions and six passes defensed on the defensive side and 14 carries for 80 yards and three touchdowns and eight catches for 109 yards and one touchdowns on offense. Calvert Hall finishes the season with a record of 6-4.
Kealan Jones, S, Sprayberry (Ga.)
The new Georgia Tech safety signee Jones saw his season and high school career come to an end back on Nov. 14 when Sprayberry lost 34-21 at home vs. Lee County in the first round of the Class AAAAA State Playoffs. Jones finished his senior season with 33 total tackles (30 solo), including two tackles-for-loss, as well as one interception, three fumble recoveries and two passes defensed. He was also a big part of Sprayberry’s offense with 40 rushing attempts for 443 yards and seven touchdowns and 10 catches for 215 yards and one touchdown. Sprayberry finished its season with a record of 9-2.
Cole Bergeron, QB, St. Thomas More (La.)
The new Georgia Tech quarterback signee Bergeron saw his season and high school career end back on Nov. 21 with a 49-7 loss at John Curtis Christian in the second round of the Louisiana Class 4A State Playoffs. No stats were available for Bergeron. St. Thomas More finished the season with a record of 8-4.
Braylon Outlaw, LB, Pike Road (Ala.)
The new Georgia Tech safety linebacker signee Outlaw saw his high school career and senior season end back on Nov. 21 in the Alabama Class 6A State Playoffs with a 56-32 loss at home vs. Saraland. Outlaw finished his final season with 80 total tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss, four sacks, four QB hurries, three forced fumbles, three interceptions, three passes defensed and two defensive touchdowns on the defensive side to go with nine touchdowns on offense. Pike Road finished the season with a record of 10-3.
Jordan Woods, Edge, Pell City (Ala.)
The new Georgia Tech edge signee Woods saw his high school career and senior season come to an end back on Nov. 7 when Pell City lost 28-14 on the road at Homewood in the first round of the Alabama Class 6A State Playoffs. No stats were available for Woods. Pell City finished the season with a record of 7-4.
Christian Speakman, DL, Morrow (Ga.)
The new Georgia Tech edge signee Speakman saw his high school career and senior season come to an end back on Oct. 31 with Morrow losing 16-6 at Banneker to finish the regular season. No stats were available for Speakman. Morrow finished the season with a record of 1-9.
Traeviss Stevenson, CB, Brooks County (Ga.)
Stevenson saw his high school career come to an end in Brooks County’s 52-16 loss at Lincoln County on Nov. 28 in the third round of the Class A Division II State Playoffs. Offensively, Stevenson had eight catches for 147 yards along with a rushing touchdown. He also had nine total tackles (six solo) defensively and three kick returns for 56 total yards on special teams. Brooks County finishes its season with a record of 7-6.
Ladarrious “LJ” Crumity, CB, Madison County (Fla.)
Crumity and Madison County lost a 33-32 thriller on Nov. 21 to end their season in the second round of the Florida State “Rural” Playoffs. Offensively at quarterback, Crumity ran for 101 yards on 14 carries with three touchdowns while also throwing for 132 yards on 10-of-19 passing with three interceptions. No defensive stats were available. Madison County wraps up the season with a 6-6 record.
Courtney Heard, OL, East Coweta (Ga.)
East Coweta’s season and Heard’s high school career came to an end as the Indians lost 49-14 at home to Walton in the second round of the Class AAAAAA State Playoff on Nov. 21. No individual stats were available from the game. East Coweta finishes its season with a record of 4-8.
Courtlin Heard, OL, East Coweta (Ga.)
East Coweta’s season and Heard’s high school career came to an end as the Indians lost 49-14 at home to Walton in the second round of the Class AAAAAA State Playoff on Nov. 21. No individual stats were available from the game. East Coweta finishes its season with a record of 4-8.
Amier Clarke, DL, Osceola (Fla.)
Osceola suffered a 19-13 loss on Nov. 21 in the second round of the Class 6-A Florida State Playoffs at South Lake as Clarke’s high school career came to a sudden end. No individual stats were available for Clarke after the game. Osceola finishes its season with a record of 7-5.
Jonathan Genty, P, Blessed Trinity (Ga.)
Blessed Trinity fell to Marist 28-10 in the second round of the Class AAAA State Playoffs on Nov. 21. Genty No individual stats were available for Genty after the loss. Blessed Trinity finishes its season with a record of 7-5.
Kentrell Davis, WR, Parker (Ala.)
Parker’s season and Davis’ high school career came to a sudden end on Nov. 14 with a tight 17-14 loss at Muscle Shoals in the second round of the Alabama State Playoffs. Parker ended the season with a final record of 8-4.
Isaac Obrokta, WR, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.)
Rabun Gap suffered a season-ending 55-48 loss at home to Charlotte Christian on Nov. 14 in the NCISAA Playoffs as Obrokta saw his high school career come to an end. Rabun Gap wrapped up its season with a 7-5 record.
Jaedyn Terry, CB, Manchester (Ga.)
Manchester suffered a 55-20 loss in the first round of the Class A Division II State Playoffs as Terry saw his high school career come to an end on Nov. 14. Manchester finished its season with a final record of 4-6.
Alex Willis, Edge/DE, The First Academy (Fla.)
The First Academy and Willis finished off its 2025 season with a 35-28 victory at Lakeland in double-overtime on Oct. 31. The First Academy finishes the season with a 5-5 record.
2027 commits
Jordan Christie, WR, Southwest DeKalb
Southwest DeKalb’s season came to an end on Nov. 21 with a 17-10 loss at Kell in the second round of the Class AAAA State Playoffs. Christie had two catches for 24 yards in the loss. Southwest DeKalb finishes its season with a record of 9-3.
