Georgia Tech made a statement on Saturday with its dramatic 24-21 win over Clemson, and now the national polls have taken notice.

Head coach Brent Key and his Jackets entered both major Top 25 polls on Sunday when they were released following Week 3, debuting at No. 18 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 19 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Jackets (3-0) are ranked for the first time since early September last season when they were slotted No. 23 in the AP Poll after a 2-0 start to 2024 thanks to wins over Florida State and Georgia State.

Furthermore, Tech is in both major top 25 rankings for the first time in a decade, last appearing in both the AP and Coaches polls following Week 3 of the 2015 season, and the rankings are the highest since the Jackets were No. 14 and No. 16 after Week 2 of the 2015 season.

After the thrilling win on Saturday that culminated with a school-record tying 55-yard, game-winning field goal from Aidan Birr as time expired vs. Clemson, Georgia Tech is back home again this Saturday to host Temple in a non-conference matchup set to kickoff at 4:30 p.m. and scheduled to be broadcast on The CW.
