David Taylor continues to land nationally-ranked prospects from the 2026. On Monday afternoon, Lawrence, Indiana 190-pounder Michael White announced his commitment to Oklahoma State via Instagram.

At No. 40 on the Flowrestling 2026 Big Board, White is not as highly-ranked as some of the OSU 2026 class, but there’s a big “but” to that. White has only been wrestling for three years. In a sport where basically all of the top prospects and performers at the high school level began wrestling as near toddlers, it’s wild how quickly White has developed.

Coming from a tough situation at home, White decide he wanted to wrestle in his freshman year at Lawrence North High School, despite never having participated before. He set goals of wrestling at the D1 level and winning a state championship. Yesterday’s news checks the former box, while White is still pursuing the latter goal with one high school season remaining. He has placed twice in the Indiana state tournament, finishing sixth as a sophomore at 175 pounds and second last season at 190.

This summer, White finished third at the national tournament at Fargo. He also competed in the U17 division of the U.S. Open and finished seventh at 92 kg (roughly 203 pounds). His upside is still untapped and Taylor aims to see that happen when White gets to Stillwater. He will project at 197 pounds to start his collegiate career.

Taylor’s 2026 commitment rankings on Flo’s Big Board include No. 2 Jax Forrest, No. 4 Dreshaun Ross, No. 5 Jordyn Raney, No. 6 Jayden Raney, No. 36 Kellen Wolbert and now No. 40 White. Np.1 Bo Bassett is back on the market after de-committing from Iowa this summer and Taylor/OSU are definitely in the mix there as well.
