Cowboys officially add guard Guetta

Oklahoma State basketball officially announced the addition of Israeli professional guard Daniel Guetta on Friday.
We first told you about Guetta in June, when his agent announced his signing via X. He is a combo guard who turns 22 years of age this month.
“Daniel is a poised, unselfish guard who knows how to run a team,” head coach Steve Lutz said. “He controls pace, sees the floor well, and knows how to get others involved. He’ll be a valuable piece in our backcourt.”
Guetta played the 2024-25 season for Maccabi Rehovot in Israel’s Liga Leumit, averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 assists in 34 games. He led the team in steals (30), shot 35% from deep and posted a better-than 2-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Guetta was a member of the Israeli National Team that won silver at the FIBA U20 European Championship.
Guetta’s addition brings the total of international players on the roster for Lutz’s second season at the helm of the Cowboys. The others are forward Adrija Vuckovic (Serbia), forward Parsa Fallah (Iran via Oregon State), center Benjamin Ahmed (Nigeria) and forward Lefteris Mantzoukas (Greece).
Matzoukas is technically waiting to be cleared by the NCAA, but we are expecting positive news for the Cowboys on that front soon.
