Forrest punches his ticket

Oklahoma State wrestling verbal commitment Jax Forrest continued his near-unprecedented run at the national Senior level of wrestling on Monday afternoon at Final X in Fargo, SD.
Wrestling for a spot on the Senior World Team and needing to win two matches in a Best-Of-Three against 2023 Senior World Champion and 2024 Senior World bronze medalist Vito Arujau.
The high school senior-to-be needed to wrestle just two matches to punch his ticket to join the Team USA roster. In the first match, Forrest scored the decisive takedown with just five seconds remaining to take the match 4-3. Forrest took an early 4-0 lead in match two, surrendered one takedown to Arujau and ultimately took a 7-2 victory over the decorated Senior World Team veteran.
The win earned Forrest the right to compete for the United States at 61kg in the Senior World Championships on Sept. 13-21, 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia.
Forrest joins recent Oklahoma State graduate and 2025 NCAA Heavyweight Champion Wyatt Hendrickson on the USA Senior World Team.
He committed to OSU in February and represented the Cowboy RTC at Final X.
