AP Poll: Sooners jump up several spots after Tennessee win
Oklahoma made a massive jump in the AP Poll following Saturday’s huge win at Tennessee.
The Sooners landed at No. 11 in Sunday’s AP Top 25 poll, moving up seven spots from a week ago. The new poll comes a few hours after the Sooners beat Tennessee, 33-27, in Knoxville, improving to 7-2 and 3-2 in SEC play.
The Volunteers dropped from No. 14 to No. 23 following the loss.
This is the highest the Sooners have been ranked in the month of November since 2021, when they were ranked No. 4 in Week 11.
Texas A&M is the highest ranked team in the SEC at No. 3. Other teams ranked from the SEC: Alabama (4), Georgia (5), Ole Miss (7), Texas (13), Vanderbilt (15) and Missouri (19).
The Sooners now enter a bye week before preparing for a road clash at No. 4 Alabama on Nov. 15. The Sooners end the regular season at home against No. 19 Missouri and LSU.
