When Oklahoma starts fall camp next week, the program will have over three dozen brand-new scholarship players. A total of 37 individuals that have never played a down of Sooner football will occupy the roster. Thus, given the new NCAA roster limit of 105 total players, over a third of Oklahoma's roster consists of newcomers. Of that group of 37, 19 players are transfer additions and 18 are true freshmen. And while some players' expected roles are obvious (John Mateer, Jaydn Ott, etc.), that's hardly the case across the board. So with camp drawing ever nearer, let's examine the reasonable expectations for each new face on the Sooners' roster.
