Oklahoma's John Mateer catches a snap as Derek Simmons blocks during the University of Oklahoma Sooners Crimson Combine at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Okla., Saturday, April, 12, 2025.

The first SEC Availability Report was released Wednesday ahead of Oklahoma’s clash at South Carolina this weekend.

There will be a few names to monitor the rest of the week.

Notably, right tackle Derek Simmons is not listed on the initial report, indicating he will be available against the Gamecocks. Simmons suffered an injury early last week against Texas, which kept him out the rest of the game. OU coach Brent Venables said Simmons was “day to day” following the injury.

Running back Jovantae Barnes is listed as “questionable” to play against South Carolina. Wide receiver Keontez Lewis, tight end Kade McIntyre and offensive lineman Logan Howland are listed as “doubtful” to play.

Troy Everett, Jacob Sexton and Jake Taylor have all been ruled out.

Players listed as questionable as “uncertain to play due to injury or condition.” Players listed as doubtful are “unlikely to play due to significant concerns.” Players who are probable are “likely to play, barring any setbacks.”

Barnes suffered an injury during pregame warmups last week at Texas, OU coach Brent Venables revealed on Tuesday. Barnes has not appeared in either of the last two games. If he’s unavailable, the Sooners will likely turn to Jaydn Ott for additional snaps.

Lewis’ designation is notable, given he started his sixth consecutive game last week for the Sooners and played 38 snaps, per PFF. If Lewis unable to play, Javonnie Gibson will almost certainly make his first start for the Sooners.

The Sooners play South Carolina at 11:45 a.m. CT on Saturday (SECN). Additional availability reports will be released Thursday and Friday, as well as 90 minutes before kickoff.
