Notes
— Xavier Robinson didn’t just make his first start of the season. He saw all of the running back carries and nearly all of the backfield snaps.
Tory Blaylock, who had started six consecutive games, played just six snaps.
— Jer’Michael Carter had played just 71 snaps coming into the game. He played 33 against Tennessee, largely in place of Javonnie Gibson.
— The starting offensive linemen played every snap, including the true freshmen (Michael Fasusi and Ryan Fodje) and redshirt freshman Eddy Pierre-Louis.
— With R Mason Thomas leaving the game early, the Sooners leaned heavily on Taylor Wein. Adepoju Adebawore also saw a bump in snaps.
— Owen Heinecke played nearly snap in place of Kobie McKinzie, who was available but didn’t play. Heinecke (13 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack) led the team in snaps and forced the strip sack that led to Thomas’ touchdown.
