Notes
— The story appears to be settled at running back. Even though Jovantae Barnes made his second start, Tory Blaylock again paced the backfield in every category, including snaps. He’s logged 76 snaps through three games and has been OU’s best running back.
Jaydn Ott, conversely, has played just 32 snaps.
— The wide receivers outside of Keontez Lewis, Deion Burks and Isaiah Sategna combined to log just 25 snaps through the first two games. But against Temple, the Sooners rotated a lot more at receiver.
— The highest grade on the Sooners’ offense? That belongs to Jaren Kanak, who caught four passes for 86 yards and had a two-point conversion throw to Jacob Ulrich.
— Through three games, the Sooners have a clear rotation at linebacker. Kip Lewis and Kobie McKinzie are tied together, and Sammy Omosigho and Owen Heinecke are tied together.
Omosigho and Heinecke finished with the first and second-highest defense grades, respectively.
— Kendel Dolby returned after nearly a year since his injury, got the start and logged 28 snaps.
— Reggie Powers led the entire defense in snaps.
