Sooners fall to No. 18 in AP Poll

Oklahoma fell in the latest AP Top 25 poll following Saturday’s loss to Ole Miss.
The Sooners landed at No. 18 in the latest rankings, which were released Sunday. It’s five spots lower than where they were coming into the weekend.
Ole Miss, which beat the Sooners 34-26 in Norman, jumped one spot to No. 7.
The Sooners and the Rebels are joined from the SEC by Texas A&M (3), Alabama (4), Georgia (5), Vanderbilt (9), Tennessee (14), Missouri (19) and Texas (20).
After the loss, the Sooners (6-2, 2-2 SEC) face a stiff test to remain in the College Football Playoff hunt. They travel to Knoxville next Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC) to take on No. 14 Tennessee and then play at No. 4 Alabama after a bye week. They end the season with home contests against No. 19 Missouri and LSU, which fell out of the rankings following its loss to Texas A&M.
