Sooners move to No. 7 in latest AP Poll

Oklahoma continues to improve in the AP Top 25 Poll.
The Sooners climbed four spots to No. 7 in the latest rankings, released on Sunday afternoon. The rankings come after the Sooners beat then-No. 22 Auburn, 24-17, on Saturday to improve to 4-0 on the season.
It’s the Sooners’ first time in the top 10 since 2013.
The SEC has 10 teams ranked in the top 25, including LSU (4), Georgia (5), Texas A&M (9), Texas (10), Ole Miss (13), Tennessee (15), Alabama (17), Vanderbilt (18) and Missouri (20). The Sooners play six of those teams the rest of the way.
Michigan, who the Sooners beat in Week 2, is ranked No. 19 after a win over Nebraska. Ohio State, Miami, Penn State, LSU and Georgia rounded out the top five.
The Sooners enter a bye week before resuming action against Kent State on Oct. 4. They’ll continue SEC play on Oct. 11 against Texas at the Cotton Bowl.
