Another ranked win for Oklahoma last Saturday came with more weekly awards from the Southeastern Conference on Monday.

Taylor Wein picked up his second weekly honor, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Week following the Sooners’ 17-6 win over Missouri. OU punter Grayson Miller earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Week, while defensive tackle Gracen Halton earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week.

It’s the second consecutive week the Sooners have earned three SEC weekly honors. The Sooners have picked up 14 total weekly honors this season.

Wein earned his award after another standout performance against the Tigers, finishing with two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He’s fourth in the SEC in tackles for loss (14.0) and second on the Sooners with six sacks.

With the Sooners’ offense struggling, Miller was pivotal against the Tigers. He averaged nearly 45 yards on nine punts, with five punts going beyond 50 yards and four punts downed inside the 20-yard line. Miller ranks sixth in the country in yards per punt (46.9) and 21 of his 47 punts have gone beyond 50 yards.

Halton finished with seven tackles, which tied his career best, adding two tackles for loss and a half sack. Halton has six TFLs and 3.5 sacks this season. Halton and Wein’s performances were huge with star defensive end R Mason Thomas missing his second consecutive game.

The Sooners (9-2, 5-2 SEC) close out the regular season this weekend against LSU (2:30 p.m. CT Saturday, ABC).
