Four-star Prosper (TX) high school offensive lineman Bryce Gilmore was always a top target for Texas Tech in the 2026 class, but after a late May official visit to Fayetteville he decided to close his recruitment and commit to Arkansas - prior to ever taking his scheduled Texas Tech official. A few months later, and with Arkansas off to a rocky start to their season, Gilmore decided being a Razorback wasn't for him anymore. A decommitment on September 11th quickly led to an official visit being scheduled to Texas Tech for the game vs Oregon State. As it turned out, Gilmore didn't leave Lubbock without making his next decision and becoming a Red Raider pledge. "Why Texas Tech was the right move for me is because everybody there is what I viewed here, as a family. Everybody is tight up here, close. And it's just like, I wish I would have went out there on my OV and considered them in the first place, but yeah."
