Texas Tech guard Christian Anderson Jr makes Germany’s EuroBasket squad

Rising Texas Tech sophomore guard Christian Anderson Jr has made Germany’s EuroBasket 2025 team, per Germany’s official roster announcement.
EuroBasket is held every four years and is considered the top international basketball tournament in Europe.
Anderson will be competing with and against several NBA players in the event. Included on Germany’s team are NBA veterans such as Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder among others.
Jusuf Nurkic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Alex Sarr (France), Deni Avdija (Israel), Donte DiVincenzo (Italy), Kristaps Porzingis (Latvia), Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania), Nikola Vucevic (Montenegro), Jeremy Sochan (Poland) and Luka Doncic (Slovenia) are just a few of the NBA’ers Anderson will be competing against.
The games will be hosted in Cypress, Finland, Poland and Latvia, and will be played from August 27th-September 14th.
A former four-star recruit, Anderson arrived in Lubbock prior to last season and immediately became one of the most important players on the team as a true freshman.
Anderson was third on the team in minutes per game and ended up averaging 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for a squad that ended up 28-9 and made a run to the Elite Eight.
Anderson was a major focus to bring back for Grant McCasland entering the 2025-26 season, which was accomplished and announced to much fanfare back on April 8th.
Now he’ll get to spend a few weeks with the best of the best, which will only aid in his development moving forward.
