Class of 2026 Moriyah Douglass Commits to Texas Tech Lady Raiders

Texas Tech women’s basketball received a commitment from Class of 2026 Moriyah Douglass out of John Burroughs High School in St. Louis, MO. The 6-4 wing also held offers from Missouri, Arkansas and Gonzaga amongst many others .
Per Max Preps, Douglass scored 16.7 points per game to go along with 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game during her junior season. She is widely considered one of the most underratted players in the Class of 2026 and is a winner, already taking home two state championships for John Burroughs Highschool.
Basketball success runs deep in Douglass’ blood, as her grandfather, Monroe Douglass, was an all-time great at Saint Louis. Her father, Monroe Douglass Jr., was a regional superstar at Chaminade and is now an assistant coach at his alma mater.
Douglass took her official visit to Texas Tech earlier this summer in June and committed today, July 24, via social media.
