Prosper (TX) OT Bryce Gimore commits to the Red Raiders

A day after a home win against Oregon State, getting to 3-0 in non-conference play and setting up a Top 20 matchup next weekend in Utah – the Texas Tech coaching staff landed a huge commitment from Prosper (TX) offensive tackle Bryce Gilmore, a Rivals300 four-star prospect.

Gilmore says he is “locked in” with Texas Tech

The nation’s No. 172 overall ranked prospect gives the Red Raiders three (3) straight top rated offensive lineman commitments from Prosper (TX) High School over the last three (3) recruiting classes – starting with Ellis Davis in 2024, then Connor Carty in 2025 and now Gilmore in the 2026 recruiting class.

Gilmore pointed to his relationship with the Texas Tech coaches and his familiarity with former teammates on the roster as key reasons he committed to the Red Raiders.

“I would say knowing that I would be developed there and having my former teammates (Ellis and Connor) there also helps with the transition from high school to college football. It feels great to be locked in and not have to worry which college I’m going to attend. I just have to focus on school and football now, so it’s truly exciting.”

Gilmore says the Texas Tech coaches never let up

The four-star tackle was previously committed to Arkansas since June and announced plans to reopen his recruitment earlier this week. Gilmore shared that the Texas Tech coaches never stopped communicating with him after his original commitment to the Razorbacks, something that stood out to the newest Red Raider commitment.

“The Texas Tech coaches were the most persistent and I have such a strong relationship with the coaches. I would say Coach (Brian) Nance, Coach (Clay) McGuire and Coach (Joey) McGuire are the coaches that I talk with the most from Tech. We had a meeting before the visit end earlier today and I told them I wanted to commit during the meeting.”

Gilmore is another top ranked 2026 commitment for TTU

The coaches have landed the program’s fourth Rivals 300 commitment for the 2026 recruiting class with the addition of Gilmore, the nation’s No. 172 overall prospect. Gilmore joins fellow offensive tackle Felix Ojo (No. 40 overall), wide receiver Chase Campbell (No. 57) and running back Ace Rowden (No. 204) as Texas Tech commitments listed on the Rivals 300 national rankings.

Gilmore is listed as the nation’s No. 16 overall offensive tackle prospect and the No. 23 overall prospect on the Rivals Texas Top 100 for the 2026 class.

The addition of Gilmore is expected to vault this Texas Tech 2026 recruiting class to the No. 23 overall recruiting class in the nation, per Rivals rankings.

Gilmore chose Texas Tech over 30-plus offers from programs across the nation, including offers from Arizona State, Oregon, TCU, Ole Miss, Baylor, Miami, Auburn, Utah and several others.

The Prosper standout is set to graduate early this December and join the Texas Tech program in the spring semester.
