Joey McGuire comments on contract extension

On Tuesday, December 3rd, Texas Tech announced they had agreed to a "significant long-term" contract extension with Joey McGuire that will keep the head coach in Lubbock through the 2032 season. McGuire's Red Raiders currently sit at No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings, and the program is set to play in their first Big 12 Conference Championship Game versus BYU on Saturday. Additionally, Texas Tech signed a top 20 national recruiting class this week and they currently hold the best 2027 recruiting class in the country per Rivals. McGuire joined Texas Tech Senior Associate Athletics Director External Ops Robert Giovannetti on their weekly 'What's Next!' podcast where he spoke about his extension and more.
