Morton listed questionable for Kent State
Behren Morton was listed as questionable for Texas Tech’s week two contest against Kent State, per an updated availability report from Tech Athletics Wednesday night. Morton exited the Red Raiders’ week one thumping of Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a right leg injury.
When asked about Morton’s injury Monday, head coach Joey McGuire said the medical and coaching staff would take it day-by-day.
“He’s really sore, but the X-rays and MRI came back negative. It’s more muscle soreness. He got hit right outside, so all the muscle calf and shin area. It’s really not where his shin is sore, just all the muscles around it,” McGuire said.
Miquel Dingle listed as out for the season
STAR safety Miquel Dingle was also listed as out for the season on the availability report. The linebacker-converted DB is now listed as out for the season following a knee injury in the season opener. Dingle was carted off the field following a collision on a UAPB screen pass. McGuire expressed his concern for Dingle after the UAPB game. He also acknowledged Dingle’s history battling shoulder and hamstring ailments.
