With Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season in the books, several former Texas Tech Red Raiders have begun their push to make an impact. From players getting their first snaps of the year to veterans proving their value, these Red Raiders are taking the field and showing where they fit as the season gets underway.

Red Raiders on Active Rosters

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S, Arizona Cardinals

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson played 50 defensive snaps and 14 more on special teams in the Cardinals’ opening game, a 20–13 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Taylor-Demerson was credited with three tackles and two ‘stops’ per PFF, good for a grade of 80.4.

Broderick Washington JR., DE, Baltimore Ravens

Broderick Washington played 34 defensive snaps for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, recording 1 total pressure and finishing with a 67.5 PFF grade.

The Ravens face the Cleveland Browns next on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET.

Tahj Brooks, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Tahj Brooks appeared in 12 snaps on special teams for the Bengals in their 17–16 win over the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals face the Jacksonville Jaguars next on Sunday, September 14, at 1:00 PM ET.

Terence Steele, OT, Dallas Cowboys

Terrence Steele played 61 offensive snaps for the Cowboys in Week 1, finishing with a 64.5 PFF grade.

The Cowboys face the New York Giants next on Sunday, September 14, at 12:00 PM ET.

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes played 61 offensive snaps for the Chiefs in Week 1, attempting 39 passes and completing 24 for 258 yards and 1 touchdown. He finished with a 79.0 PFF grade.

The Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles next on Sunday, September 14, at 12:00 PM ET.

Caleb Rogers, OG, Las Vegas Raiders

Caleb Rogers did not play in Week 1 for the Raiders in their 20-13 win againts the Patriots

The Raiders face the Los Angeles Chargers next on Monday, September 15, at 9:00 PM ET.

Tyree Wilson, DE, Las Vegas Raiders

Tyree Wilson played 39 defensive snaps for the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1, recording 3 pressures, 1 sack, and 1 tackle. He finished with a 51.6 PFF grade.

The Raiders face the Los Angeles Chargers next on Monday, September 14, at 9:00 PM ET.

Jordyn Brooks, LB, Miami Dolphins

Jordyn Brooks played 73 defensive snaps for the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, recording 1 pressure and 5 tackles. He finished with a 58.3 defensive grade.

Austin McNamara, P, New York Jets
