Red Raiders in the NFL: 2025 season Week 2

Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season is over and former Texas Tech Red Raiders continue to make their mark. From impactful defensive plays to steady contributions on offense and special teams, these alumni are showing how they fit into their teams as the season gains momentum.

Red Raiders on Active Rosters

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S, Arizona Cardinals

Dadrion Taylor-Demerson logged 44 defensive snaps and 14 special teams snaps in Week 2, finishing with four tackles and earning a 64.7 overall grade from PFF.

Arizona will stay on the road next Sunday, September 21, with a divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05 PM ET.

Broderick Washington JR., DE, Baltimore Ravens

Broderick Washington saw action on 26 defensive snaps and 9 special teams snaps for the Ravens in Week 2, finishing with a 28.8 PFF grade.

Baltimore will be back under the lights in Week 3, taking on the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, September 22, at 8:15 PM ET.

Tahj Brooks, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Tahj Brooks was on the field for 10 special team snaps in Week 2, recording one tackle on special teams and earning a 76.7 overall grade from PFF. The rookie running back is continuing to contribute in limited action as he adjusts to the pro game.

The Bengals will be on the road in Week 3, taking on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 21, at 4:25 ET.

Terence Steele, OT, Dallas Cowboys

Terence Steele was on the field for all 89 offensive snaps and 8 special teams snaps for the Cowboys in Week 2, finishing with a 52.5 overall grade from PFF. The veteran right tackle continues to anchor Dallas’ offensive line with a heavy workload.

The Cowboys will be on the road in Week 3 to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 21, at 3:25 ET.

Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes played all 60 offensive snaps in Week 2, completing 16 of 29 passes for 187 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The Chiefs fall to 0-2 on the season, looking to bounce back next week.

Kansas City will take on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, September 21, at 7:20 ET.

Caleb Rogers, OG, Las Vegas Raiders

Caleb Rogers did not see the field for the Raiders in Week 2. The rookie offensive lineman is still working to carve out a role in Las Vegas’ rotation.

The Raiders will be on the road in Week 3 to face the Washington Commanders on Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 ET.

Tyree Wilson, DE, Las Vegas Raiders

Tyree Wilson was active in the Raiders’ defensive rotation in Week 2, logging 14 defensive snaps and 4 special teams snaps and one batted pass. He finished the game with a 59.8 overall grade from PFF.

Las Vegas will travel east in Week 3 to face the Washington Commanders on Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 ET.

Jordyn Brooks, LB, Miami Dolphins

Jordyn Brooks played all 60 defensive snaps for the Dolphins in Week 2, recording 8 tackles and 1 sack while earning an 83.6 overall grade from PFF. The linebacker continues to be a key part of Miami’s defensive front.

The Dolphins will travel to take on the Buffalo Bills in Thursday Night Football, September 21, at 8:15 ET.

Austin McNamara, P, New York Jets

Austin McNamara handled seven punting attempts for the Jets in Week 2, averaging 48.6 yards per punt with a long of 55, earning a 75.3 overall grade from PFF. The rookie punter continues to provide consistent field-position help for New York.

The Jets will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3 on Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 ET.

Tyler Owens, S, Washington Commanders

Tyler Owens played 9 defensive snaps and 24 special teams snaps for the Commanders in Week 2, finishing with a 54.2 overall grade from PFF.

The Commanders will host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3 on Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 ET.
