Texas Tech's 2027 class is off to a hot start with the commitment of the top overall recruit in the country in EDGE LaDamion Guyton. Along with Guyton, the Red Raiders are trending for several other prospects. One recruit who recently picked up his offer from Texas Tech and has received a lot of interest from Joey McGuire's program lately is Richland running back Jayshon “Fats” Gibson. Gibson earned his offer after standing out at a Texas Tech camp in early June, and has continued to stay in touch with Joey McGuire, Garret McGuire and the rest of the staff since.
