#7 Texas Tech hosted several top prospects for Saturday night's 42-17 Homecoming win over Kansas. Included in the group of recruits making it out to West Texas was Cypress Ranch defensive lineman Amari Vickerson. The high three-star prospect holds over 40 offers from programs across the country and has significant NFL bloodlines with his father Kevin Vickerson having played in 86 NFL games over eight seasons in the league. Texas Tech has been one of the programs making a run at the 6-foot-4, 290 pound prospect, and it's due to his bond with coaches such as Senior Defensive Analyst Jack Teachey, Defensive Line Coach Zarnell Fitch and Defensive Coordinator Shiel Wood among others.
