Texas Tech announces Big 12 Media Day attendees

A little more than a week before it takes place, Texas Tech has announced its attendees for the 2025 Big 12 Football Media Days powered by Microsoft Copilot.
As part of the two-day event hosted on July 8 (Tuesday) and 9 (Wednesday), the Red Raiders will take part in the first day of festivities at The Star in Frisco. Attending this year for the Red Raiders next week are the following:
- Head Coach Joey McGuire
- QB Behren Morton
- WR Caleb Douglas
- DL Lee Hunter
- EDGE Romello Height
- LB Jacob Rodriguez
- S Cole Wisniewski

Tech is one of five Big 12 schools– including Arizona State, Baylor, Arizona, TCU– that will be taking six players to media days. The schools taking the fewest are Oklahoma State and West Virginia, who will only be taking three players.
For Morton and Rodriguez, this will be their second time attending the de facto start of the conference season. The pair of senior leaders attended last year’s proceedings when they were hosted in Las Vegas.
The Red Raiders will be taking four defensive-sided players who are expected to be starters in the upcoming campaign. Morton, Douglas and Rodriguez are returners from last season, while Hunter, Height and Wisniewski come in as prominent names from a star-studded transfer class.
Morton is one of 11 quarterbacks who will attend in Frisco, alongside some of the conference’s best signal callers. Other attendees include Sam Leavitt (ASU), Sawyer Robertson (BU), Brendan Sorsby (CIN) and Rocco Becht (ISU).
