Texas Tech women’s basketball received a commitment from ESPN 4-star and No.98 overall player in the Class of 2026 Ambrosia “Bro Bro” Cole. The 5-7 PG is a Lubbock native coming out of Monterey High School and held offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Arizona, SMU plus many others before committing to the Lady Raiders on Tuesday.

Cole earned 5-A All-State honors last season averaging 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.1 steals. She carried those numbers into the postseason where she helped the Lady Plainsmen win a state title.

The junior scored 16 points and added 12 rebounds for a double double in the championship game, yes 12 rebounds as a 5-7 point guard. She’s like that.

While her junior year was her breakout season on a national stage, she was already turning heads early in her high school career. She averaged a similar line as a sophomore scoring 18 points a game to go along with 5.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.7 steals a game, earning All-Region honors. As a freshman she was more than steady at 13.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

All of which led to Texas Tech becoming her first D1 offer in February of her freshman season.

Playing with Cy Fair Elite on the EYBL Circuit, Cole was a part of a National Championship in 2024 and while they came up short of a back-to-back bid in 2025, she still put on a show dropping 24 points.

Cole joins 6-6 C Jayda Kearney and 6-4 F Moriyah Douglas as commitments in the Class of 2026 for Texas Tech. No need to welcome Bro Bro to Lubbock, she was born to be in the scarlet and black.

Her hometown Lady Raider legacy starts now.
